What started as a pretty simple idea turned into a much longer process than I ever imagined. I knew what I wanted the boot to feel like, but I had almost no idea how many little steps it would take to get there.

This is the part I'm in now. The boot exists. I can hold it in my hands. Now comes the challenge of raising awareness about BareBoots—and getting people excited to preorder. Preorders will fund my first production order and help me predict inventory, so I don't end up buying sizes I don't need. A lot of my time right now is going into marketing, outreach, and figuring out how to get this small business off the ground.
