Founder, BareBoots

I started BareBoots because every rubber boot I owned left my feet hurting at the end of the day.

Inspired By Necessity

Why We Started

After years of wearing barefoot shoes, I loved how much stronger and more comfortable my feet felt. But every waterproof boot I tried squeezed my toes into a narrow toe box and felt like putting on a cast. I wanted something that could handle muddy fields, life on the coast of Maine, and everyday farm work without sacrificing a truly foot-shaped fit.
When I couldn't find it, I decided to build it myself.

Where it All happens

Shaped By Everyday Life

I live on a small island off the coast of Maine, where we spend most of our time outdoors. When I'm not working, you'll find me gardening, working around the homestead, exploring the shoreline, or riding my horses. Those everyday tasks have shaped every decision I've made while designing BareBoots. I wanted a boot that was practical enough for hard work, comfortable enough to wear all day, and built around a simple design that would last beyond trends.

"Our feet are how we experience the world. They carry us through work, adventure, and everyday life. They deserve to be considered, not squeezed and restricted."
